In a press conference, Police Col. Chaiyakorn Sriladecho said: ‘We have now arrested all four suspects.’
He identified the suspects as in their 20s and 30s. Sriladecho added: ‘The men say they are sorry and that they wouldn’t have done this if they weren’t drunk.’
A video of the attack has provoked shock and outrage over its brutality and the ages of the victims, a 65-year-old woman and 68-year-old man from Scotland and their 43-year-old son.

Both men suffered blows to the face and body and when the woman, who was initially knocked flat by a punch, sits up, one attacker delivers a kick to her head.
All three victims required hospital treatment following the savage attack – and a passer-by who attempted to break up the fight was also hurt, though not seriously.
A contributor to the Hua Hin net forum stated they had rushed to the help the circle of relatives who they regarded from a close-by bar.
As revellers had been leaving for the night time organizations of Thai youths had amassed on the road. The witness wrote wrote: ‘within 20-30 metres of leaving the bar the Thais had been punching the sixty five-year-old girl inside the face! The elderly gentleman turned into down at the floor and their son became crushed very badly!
‘At this factor I caught as much as the scene and driven one of the youths faraway from the girl. I were given critically punched and kicked for my troubles, but felt the need to guard this frail lady.
‘The 3 of them are still hospitalised and i will need cosmetic dental work finished.’
in line with the account, ‘gangs of Thai youths were priming themselves to begin punching Westerners’ inside the location earlier than the attack.
